Who this is for
For creators, community managers, small business owners, and in-house marketers adapting formal or AI-assisted drafts for everyday English-speaking audiences on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Start with the post, not a stock hook
Before revising, identify what the audience can actually see and what the caption needs to add. A product photo may need dimensions and availability; a behind-the-scenes clip may need context; a community announcement needs a date and location. Lead with that information instead of “We're thrilled to announce” or “You won't want to miss this.”
Give Humanizely the draft and clear instructions: keep the offer unchanged, use everyday English, and avoid adding testimonials or urgency. Explain any visual detail the caption depends on. Otherwise, an appealing rewrite could describe packaging, colors, or actions that are not in the post. Read the opening on its own: does it tell a scrolling reader why this particular post matters?
Make casual English sound like your voice
Casual does not mean careless. Shorter sentences, familiar verbs, and contractions usually do more than trendy expressions. Change “We invite you to explore” to “Take a look,” but do not turn a measured brand into a nonstop stream of “besties,” “obsessed,” and exclamation marks. Keep regional spelling consistent and avoid idioms that confuse an international audience.
Match the relationship, too. A creator can speak personally; a business should not invent a founder's feelings or pretend a team opinion is unanimous. Keep disclosure language for sponsored content clear. Emojis can support tone, but essential instructions should remain understandable without them. Put hashtags after the main message when that makes the caption easier to read, and remove tags unrelated to the actual post.
Check the details before publishing
Compare the rewrite with the original line by line. Verify prices, dates, dimensions, eligibility rules, product names, and numerical claims against an approved source. Keep citations attached to the claims they support; if a sourced claim becomes too bulky, simplify the surrounding copy rather than deleting the attribution. Do not change “up to” into a guaranteed result.
Then check the publishing destination. A caption that says “link in bio” needs a working, relevant profile link. An event time may need a time zone. A sale needs any material exclusions. Preview line breaks and make sure the image's alt text conveys important visual information rather than merely repeating the caption. Humanizely can help revise wording; you remain responsible for factual accuracy, accessibility, and platform-specific requirements.
